Congratulations to the New Brunswick High School Class of 2016.
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
The Road Not Taken
From the Principal...
Dear Zebras Families,
As the new principal of New Brunswick High School, I welcomed you to the 15-16 school year ten months ago as I eagerly anticipated a successful and rewarding year. As I reflect on the last school year with fond memories I am thankful for having a dedicated staff, parents and community that contributed to an exceptional educational experience for the students of New Brunswick High School.
Throughout the school year I had the pleasure of meeting many parents at different athletic events, concerts, and ceremonies. Parental involvement and support here at the high school is paramount to the success of our students and I look forward to a continued partnership focused on educating the wonderful students of New Brunswick High School.
I recognized coming to this building that high school can signal feelings of both excitement and trepidation, and I thank you for entrusting your children to the NBHS staff. We did not take lightly our responsibility in ensuring your children experienced a highly-engaging educational experience in a safe and nurturing environment, and we are thrilled with the progress, work, and accomplishments by our students on academic their journey.
As the 2015-16 school year draws to a close I would like to congratulate the Class of 2016 on all their accomplishments. Our college-bound students earned many thousands of dollars in scholarships and are prepared to move on to some of the top colleges and universities in our local area and beyond.
I am looking forward to the challenges that lay ahead as our goal is continued growth and success for our students.
Go Zebras - All In!
Mr. Jorge E. Diaz
