Steven Thornburg holds a B.A. (Speech and Theatre) from Oklahoma City University and a Master of Arts Degree from Columbia University (Educational Technology). He also attended University of Oklahoma (Theatre Directing studies), N.Y.U.'s Ticsh School of the Arts (Graduate Film/Television), Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting (Acting with Stella Adler), HB Studio (Acting with Herbert Berghof) and Columbia University (Ed.D. track in Communication). Thornburg has taught at Oklahoma City University (Creative Drama, Creative Theatre and Teen Actors Studio), at Columbia University/Teachers College (for Student Activities Office). He also designed and taught several courses in New York City at Sage Theatre, Inc., Spotlight On Productions and the Steve Thornburg Institute. Steve Thornburg is a published author of Three Roads Home, How To Write a One-Act Play, and Tao of Acting. Thornburg has performed on Broadway in fundraisers for BC/EFA and twice in Paris in Richard Lay's comedies, God's Policemen and Andy Warhol's Secret Girlfriend. Thornburg worked in television, notably as a producer for three A&E Biographies and in the wardrobe departments of As The World Turns, All My Children and One Life To Live. He did an internship in the producer's office for Kardana Productions/John Hart (Guys and Dolls and Tommy). Thornburg also worked for several years in the wardrobe departments of the Metropolitan Opera, Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast, Grease, and others. During the summer, Steven still works as a dresser at Broadway's Phantom of the Opera.
